I have been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) since 2009. In 1986, I graduated from The Royal Military College with a degree in Economics and Commerce. I have lived in Kitchener Waterloo since 1990 and have two sons.
My career in financial services has spanned close to 20 years with differing areas of expertise. I started my career in the Canadian Forces as a Naval Officer. From there, I joined the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) as an Auditor. In 1996, I became a Tax Manager at the Kitchener office of Ernst & Young. I then moved into a position as the Director of Tax at a consulting firm in Mississauga for seven years prior to joining Sun Life Financial in 2003. In 2015, I left Sun Life to establish my own brokerage and in order to afford more time to our family business interests.
My experience in financial services has allowed me to develop a unique set of skills and expertise including: financial planning, estate planning, tax planning, group benefits, life insurance and health insurance. I also have extensive knowledge of investment portfolio management including mutual funds, segregated funds, and annuities.
Not every financial plan is the same and each is created to meet your specific needs. My enhanced capabilities allow your plan to be carefully tailored to enhance the realization of your life goals and objectives. My sole mandate is to secure your future goals and ambitions. Life changes over time and you will need a financial plan to help you meet those milestones. I anticipate this and I will be with you every step of the way.
